Last week I was lucky enough to attend the House of Fraser Spring/Summer 2015 preview in their London press showrooms (#HoFpressday). One of my favourite things about House of Fraser is the wide-range of incomes they cater to; they sell both affordable and luxury designers.
It appears as though strong, vibrant pops of colour are here to stay as they featured heavily throughout the collections. Additionally, a lot of the clothes featured “hardware”; extensive beading, sewn on statement collars, bejewelled edges. I was particularly impressed by the lines from Biba and the dresses from Therapy. (I’d pretty much live in those dresses if I could.)
I also got to preview some of the lovely homeware items to be released in the Spring and I have one thing to say: that bedset. Dickens & Jones home released a bedding collection that fulfils all my wildest dreams. From the pillows to the duvet to all the blankets- I’m in love. I want to replicate that bed and then never leave it. The rest of the collection was quite vintage/shabby-chic in a glorious “GBBO” way.
I know it’s bad to wish away time but I wouldn’t mind going straight from Christmas to spring.
