It’s embarrassing how often I say this but… time has really flown by. I feel like I was just writing last month’s seasonal eating post when it’s already time for another. None of my own little tomato plants are ripe yet, but hopefully any day now I’ll be heading out back to pick little guys all of my own!

Food that is in season in the UK in the Summer (June, July & August): 
apricots, bananas, pomegranates, gooseberries, nectarines, figs, tomatoes, strawberries, peaches, watermelon, cherries, blackberries, raspberries, peas, aubergines, asparagus, fennel, blackcurrants, blueberries, redcurrants, bell peppers, carrots, broad beans, french beans, runner beans, garlic, cabbage, artichokes, radishes, pak choi, lettuce, marrows, spinach, Swiss chard, watercress, basil, beetroot, courgettes, and celery

Food to eat in the UK in July: 

artichokes, aubergines, bramley apples, blueberries, savoy cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cherries, cucumbers, beetroot, broad beans, broccoli, carrots, courgettes, fennel, french beans, cucumber, kohlrabi, curly lettuce, iceberg lettuce, raspberries, rhubarb, strawberries, mangetout, new potatoes, pak choi, radishes, rocket, runner beans, samphire, spinach, spring onions, tomatoes, turnips and peas are especially good
