Beanbag chairs are something that I never thought could look particularly stylish so I never really envisioned myself owning one. However, I know that Sam absolutely loves a good beanbag (partially, I think, for the opportunity to plop it as close to the telly as possible for gaming). So when the BeanBag Bazaar reached out to me to see if I was interested in trying out one of their chairs, I was intrigued.
Luckily, I found some options that I thought were quite chic so there was no compromise needed. I opted for the ICON Indoor Outdoor Armchair Beanbag. The icon chair was stylish enough that I definitely felt comfortable with it blending in with the rest of our decor. It comes in a range of colours, but charcoal suited us best.
It was quite exciting when it arrived. It came in two large boxes. One box was the bag itself, the other was a bag of beans. You get to fill the chair yourself which was actually a bit of a laugh and a fun thing to do, though you definitely need two people to do it! Sam was terrified that we were going to have beans all over the spare room. However, we managed swimmingly.
The customer service at BeanBag Bazaar was great and everything was quick and smooth. The quality of the chair is great and it’s super, incredibly comfortable. I’ve taken to sitting in it for my evening reading sessions. I love the armchair nature of the design as the armrests add a lot more comfort than you’d have in a run-of-the-mill bean bag.
Plus it’s water-resistant and made to be used outdoors as equally well as indoors. There’s a faux-leather handle on the bag to help you lift it, but it’s lightweight enough for me to easily move it by myself. (And I have zero upper body strength).
Most importantly, it really gets the Harold stamp of approval and he’s taken to curling up in it as well.
If you’re in the market to take a look and purchase some bean bags, I definitely recommend them!
