"Woo Woo" Slow Living

Imbolc 2020

Something that I’ve noticed recently is the increase in light every day. This year is quite different from year’s previous due to my teacher training, and I always find the winter to be quite the challenge for me. But getting to school when it was dark and leaving school when it is dark takes a toll on my psyche.

So imagine my delight when I was walking home and it was still light out!

We still have a lot of cold and darkness ahead of us – but there is light at the end of the tunnel – literally!

There’s a hint of spring in the air, so shake the cobwebs out of all facets of your life and take a deep breath of fresh air.

This weekend is Imbolc – the midway point between spring and winter. We are almost there friends.

You’ll start spying crocuses and daffodils soon; it’s a time of purification and cleansing. Read my post on celebrating Imbolc to get a few ideas of things that you can do this weekend to honour the day.

And as Anne Bradsheet said, “If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant.”

Have you noticed any seasonal changes around you lately?
