When Ottoman Hands reached out to me, I was genuinely thrilled. I’d been eyeing up a few of their pieces for several years now. My jewelry options have been extraordinarily stuck in a rut for a while and I hadn’t treated myself to a new addition for a while.

Ottoman Hands was established by Deniz Gurdal in 2010 and started off London’s famous Portobello Market.

I wear a simple gold ring every day, and I feel naked if I leave the house forgetting to put it on. But it’s only one ring and I wanted an option that I could wear on the same finger if I was bored of my plain gold band. So I chose the Polymnia Emerald Stacking Ring (£50). It’s an 18ct gold plated on recycled sterling silver with a small emerald. As emerald is my birthstone, I’ve always been drawn to it. I’ve also been wanting a statement ring to wear on fancier occasions but I had never found a cocktail ring that was quite right for me. But as soon as I spied Ottoman Hands Cezar Gold Coin Double Band Cocktail Ring (£35), I knew that I found a cockatiel ring that was finally right for me. It is 21ct gold plated on recycled brass.

I am also forever losing earrings, so I thought investing in a new pair would be a good idea. I have 5 piercings on one ear and two on the other, so I wear mismatched earrings every day. I opted for the Calliope Gold Huggie Earrings with Emerald Quartz Drop (£65). This gorgeous pair is handmade with a high polished finish and set with cute emerald quartz beads on a recycled sterling silver metal.

I am a necklace minimalist and already have my quota that I wear on rotation so I was not in the market for a new necklace. However, Ottoman Hands has some amazing necklaces on offer. My personal favourites and the two that I would definitely purchase if I had room for another would be either the Amalfi Lapis Pendant Necklace or the Evil Eye Lariat Necklace with Black Crystal.

The shipping was all recyclable, including the jewelry pouch itself. The sustainable pouches are made from washable paper and the shipping was extra speedy. I’ve worn my items a few times now and the quality has held up beautifully. I’m so pleased with all three!

Have you added any new jewellery options to your rotation lately?
