Date Nights at Home with Box42

The world is slowly opening up again, but for a plethora of reasons, a lot of us are still spending a lot of our free time at home. During the multiple lockdowns last year, I never actually tried a date box. But I should have because I rapidly ran out of ways to make evenings special.

Here’s where Box42 comes in. Their boxes come with interactive activities designed to help you and your partner connect, laugh and have fun together! They contain everything you need for your date, so you can immerse yourself in unique activities. They also partner with small UK indie brands to bring you snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in every box. (I absolutely adore the idea of a local small business partnering with other local small businesses.) Each box also comes with a curated cocktail recipe and 2-course menu suggestion – the ingredient list and recipes are sent in advance in case you’d like to extend your date to include a full-blown meal.

One of my favourite additions to the box is a scannable link to a curated Spotify playlist to help you set the mood for the evening. Boxes cost around £31.

I was able to preview a soon to be released Orient Express themed box. I really lucked out as it is precisely the themed box that I would have chosen for myself. I love the Roaring 20s so any chance I have to do the Charleston and dress up like a flapper, I’m going to leap at.

£31 may seem like a lot of money for a box but with all the games, activities, drinking and dancing, we spent about 4-5 hours just focussed on the box. That is really reasonable value for money! Plus everything is either re-usable or recyclable to boot.

I really couldn’t recommend them more. Two thumbs way up!

Would you try a Date Night box?
