Events to Look Forward to in the UK this Autumn

We are now firmly in Autumn, and though we have left the summer sun far behind us, there is still a lot to look forward to doing in England this year!

Events to look forward to:

>>> I’m not a massive sports fan myself, but I know that a lot of my followers are. In particular, for rugby fans, the Autumn Internationals are coming up. Almost every Saturday in November has a rugby union Test match on. The streets of Twickenham will be filled with rugby fans on the 6th, 12th and 20th of November. There are still tickets available but they might sell out soon, so grab yours quickly.

>>> Many local farms are hosting fantastic PYO pumpkin days. Just be advised that many locations want you to book well in advance, so you might want to look into doing so now! A farm local to me is getting food trucks, musicians and performers in for theirs.

>>> I’ve had tickets to The Ocean at the End of the Lane at the Duke of York’s Theatre for well over a year now. Neil Gaiman’s bestselling novel is transformed for the stage, opening at Duke of York’s Theatre after a sold-out run at National Theatre. This is one of the theatre tickets that I have been looking forward to most this year. (23 October- 13 February 2022)

>>> Bonfire Night celebrations should be back on in many local areas. Just check your local website. (Although I know that Cambridge’s celebration on Midsummer Common will not be occurring this year, sadly.)

>>> Immerse yourself in Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel in London, at a secret London location starting on the 15th of October. The organisers of themed shows like Titanic and Frida Kahlo invite you to step into Michelangelo’s masterpieces. You can experience the Sistine Chapel in a floor-to-ceiling projection using state-of-the-art technology to let you touch the ‘hand of God’. Time slots 10am-6pm (Wed-Sun); adult £11/child (4-12) £8
