It’s been nearly a month since I did one of my life update posts. And as the month is coming to a close, it seems like time to sum-up my August a bit. There are some items in this post that were gifted for review purposes.
>>> The latest season of GLOW has delightful. I was afraid that after the last season it wasn’t going to be quite as good, but I really enjoyed them being in Vegas.
>>> My new “Plant Lover” Necklace from Zeal & Heart is gorgeous. (And oh-so-true).
>>> The latest season of Mindhunter has come out. I definitely enjoy it but it needs more serial killers.
>>> I received a lovely gifted parcel from Penhaligon’s. This range is inspired by the Savoy baths of Edwardian London and it’s lovely.
>>> I got a new tattoo on Tuesday. I’ve had it booked in for months. The wonderful Lauren at the Adara Collective only opens her books a few times a year, so I was thrilled to get this slot. It’s a tattoo of the lunar phases.
>>> The Bank Holiday weekend weather was divine. I can’t believe how lucky we were with it. 28-30 C is my weather sweet spot and I tried to spend as much time outside as possible.
>>> I got my haircut on Wednesday. It was glorious to get my bob cut back in.
>>> I’ve discovered a love for the music of Anais Mitchell. She’s an American folk-singer and her music is so beautiful.
>>> I think I’ve made two new female friends in York. Making friends as an adult can be so difficult sometimes but we’ve bonded over baking, Bake Off, tattoos and vegan food so it’s meant to be, right?
>>> i haven’t had an eye test in a few years. I walked away with new glasses and a new contact prescription. Seeing again is magical.
I have so much to look forward to this weekend: a pottery painting night at a local studio, a friend’s 40th birthday party, the first rehearsals for “Anthony & Cleopatra”, going to the theatre to see Twelfth Night.
