Wayfair has an exciting new campaign around decorating based on your horoscope. As a Gemini, I find that we are a very frequently misaligned star sign. (In fact, I’m a Gemini with my moon in Scorpio and Cancer rising. Talk about a emotional mix!) Geminis are known to be impulsive, adaptable, unreliable, indecisive, nosy and intelligent. And that mostly holds true for me.

As a restless star sign, I do frequently move furniture around, much to the irritation of everyone that I’ve ever lived with. I’m always thinking about ways my spaces can be improved and maximised.

The new year is a wonderful time to give your house a bit of a spruce up. For one thing, you can nab some great deals in all the post-holiday sales. For another, January can be such a bleak time of year that a new look around the house can be just the thing that you need to wipe away some of those dark-day blues.

I think the idea of having these astrology interiors is absolutely fascinating. Take it all with a pinch of salt, but have a peel.

So here’s what Wayfair recommends for me:

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)

The social butterfly of the zodiac, you’re constantly changing your mind when it comes to interior design and décor, so anything versatile like an extendable dining table is a must-buy for 2020. For a Gemini like you, connections and words are everything, so start filling that new bookshelf with books, guides and journals and placing it proudly in your hall or living room. Gemini is an air sign who needs light, so bright open spaces that are ideal for this sign; imagine floor length mirror, various ottomans and a corner sofa big enough for multiple guests as your new year investments.

And I must say, their recommendations are pretty on the nose. Most of my home is absolutely covered in books, but especially the living room. And I do need really open spaces. Clutter and darkness stress me out and I find it hard to concentrate or work in such spaces. Wayfair also somehow just magically knew that I really need a new sofa as well.

My idea new sofa would be some sort of 3 seater with a pop of colour. Something like Wayfair’s Fairmont Park Littlehampton Sofa. I love the pop of colour that this sofa would add to the room. I also love the fact that the sofa has a vintage silhouette but that the colour and plush fabric makes it feel slightly more modern.

And to house my extensive book collection, I am really liking Wayfair’s Riley Ave. Kira Bookcase. Because I have so many books – enough books to fill about three shelves this size – I don’t like heavy shelves. They would be too overwhelming in the space. But I love the airiness of these shelves. I also love the slight asymmetry of the individual shelves within a symmetric unit. Since I’ve mostly asked for books for Christmas, I figure that new shelves will definitely be on the cards.

Also true to the horoscope, I love this large leaning mirror. I love the simple Scandi design of this one, and think having a full-length mirror is a great addition to nearly every single room. It makes most rooms looks larger. And this one has such a clean, simplistic appeal. Plus, as a blogger, not having a full-length mirror for outfit selfies is nearly sacrilegious.

Why don’t you go take a peek at your homeware horoscope? Maybe it will surprise you!

What does Wayfair recommend for your star sign? Are you planning any home decor changes this year? Or do you do all your cleaning and decorating before the holidays begin?
