Travel || British Airways i360 Viewing Tower in Brighton

When I was in Brighton the i360 hadn’t opened yet- it was still in the process of being built. So when I was there for my birthday trip, I knew it was extremely touristy but I definitely wanted to watch the sunset over Brighton from above with a glass of bubbly in my hand.

So I hopped on over to the British Airways i360 Viewing Tower website to book tickets. Normal tickets are £16.50, champagne flight tickets (a glass of Nyetimber cuvee) are £23.85. Whilst you can’t specifically book a sunset flight, if you look up the sunset time in Brighton for the time of year that you are there, you can book a ticket for around that corresponding time.

The trip itself takes about 30 minutes. It takes around 5-7 minutes for the pod to slowly rise to the top and then the pod stays up top for the vast majority of the trip. You’ll be 450 feet up in the air in a glass pod to see a 360 degree view around Brighton. There is a Nyetimber bar in the pod itself, so if you get a drink ticket, you can either get your drink in the bar in the boarding area of the pod and drink it before the flight itself, or you can wait till the pod is at its highest elevation. Personally, I recommend hanging on to your drink ticket until you are up in the sky.

Is the i360 touristy? Yes, undoubtedly. But it was also fun and quite romantic.

Have you ever visited the i360 in Brighton?
