Outfitting || Little Red

If you’ve been anywhere near my instagram lately, you’ll have seen loads of shots from this outfit shoot that I did a while back now. The light at magic hour was perfect. The forest was dark and misty and it really did make me feel like I was stepping out of the pages of my own fairytale. Very Little Red.

This dress was one that I actually bought for my 30th birthday last year from Lindybop, so I’m glad that I have the opportunity to feature it a bit more. The prices from Lindybop are so reasonable, that I was worried the quality of this dress wouldn’t be great.

But it was the only place I could find something similar which was exactly what I had in mind for my birthday celebrations. However, the fabric is quite thick and the drape is lovely. And nearly a year down the line, it’s held up really, really well. The only thing that I’d change would be if the belt could be pulled a tick or two more tightly. (This post is not sponsored by Lindybop, nor was the dress gifted. I’m just passionate about a good dress.)

Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look around her, and to wonder what was going to happen next.

As a viewer, do you prefer more natural outfit shots or ones that are more stylised like this one? For me, it’s more fun to go as stylised as possible, but I can completely see why that would be unpopular!

At the moment, I’m loving creating a mood and a story with sets of photos and this was some of the most fun I’ve had doing so, so far.

Do you have an outfit that makes you feel like a character straight out of literature?
