I once again have the pleasure of working with Everlane, one of my absolute favourite sustainable clothing brands. Now that I am working teaching in a secondary school full-time, my wardrobe has had a complete overhaul compared to the outfits that I was wearing this time last year. Blazers, dress trousers and dresses are the order of the day. (Though I feel quite lucky that there’s more dress code flexibility for women than men, I think.)

These Everlane Italian GoWeave Easy Pant trousers (£78) are literally the most comfortable trousers that I have ever owned. I wear them a minimum of three times a week. Others are probably sick of seeing them. But the elasticised waist makes me feel like I am wearing pajamas, whilst they have the appearance of being quite smart looking. The GoWeave is 100% wool, and they are extraordinarily soft (not itchy at all) and perfectly wrinkle resistant. Plus they have pockets. And sign me up for anything with proper pockets. Because the fit is naturally quite loose, I would have been tempted to size down if I were to buy them again. And seeing how much wear that I get out of them, I would like to purchase them in navy.

I am also wearing the Relaxed Poplin Shirt in blue stripe (£44) here. it’s 100% cotton and machine washable . The shirt is crisp yet slightly slouchy and oversized at the same time. I really like the detail of the point collar and how lightweight the fabric is. It does look best with the first few buttons undone, and due to the oversized nature of the shirt, I pair it with a more fitted trouser usually.

The rest of my outfit is pretty easy. I wear these black Oxfords to work nearly everyday, and the same goes for my trusty overcoat. The coat was an investment piece a few years ago, but I wear it hard in the winter, and it’s held up beautifully.

What are your go-to work outfits?
