Outfitting || Spring into Summer with Dr Martens

It’s safe to say that I am a boots gal. I spend most of my year in my Dr. Martens or my trusty brown Chelsea boots. The weather in the UK demands it. But as soon as there is a hint of warmth, I take any opportunity possible to wear sandals (or no shoes at all).

These Blaire Dr. Martens sandals are going to be a summer staple. The insoles are so thick and comfortable that it’s like walking on a cloud. And just like with their boots, they offer vegan leather options for their sandals as well. Check out their whole range of sandal options.

They really are the perfect sandal for any minimalist wardrobe as they suit most outfits. The style is enduring and the shoes are so durable but lightweight at the same time. The chunky sole makes them feel like a statement piece but with longer-lasting versitility.

You will still have to break them in (they are DMs after all), but unlike my Doc boots, the only place that required breaking in was the strap that goes around my ankle. The first time I wore them out, I walked the dog for an hour in them with no blistering, just some tenderness. If they are really rubbing, I imagine that a few walks whilst wearing some thick socks would quickly sort out the issue.

Reading other reviews, some people ordered the size down from their normal shoe size for Dr Martens’ sandals, but I found that my regular size suited me perfectly with my flat feet. However, that’s something you might want to take into consideration.

There’s still a crispness to the air at the moment (unfortunately) so the jeans life is still prevailing, but these sandals would easily pair with a flowy, floral skirt and a laid-back t-shirt. In fact, they’d go with pretty much most outfits.

So channel your favourite Scandi Instagrammer and check out Dr. Martens whole sandal range!
