Outfitting || White Sundress

How long ago does the “Normal People” phase of the lockdown feel? It almost seems like a different lifetime altogether. (Ditto the “Tiger King” phase.)

Rest assured, this outfit is inspired by “Normal People” not “Tiger King”. Most aptly, Marianne. I loved all of Marianne’s looks. And not just because she was a woman who loved a fringe (bangs).

Marianne’s wardrobe was the perfect example of not buying into trends, yet still looking stylish; comfortable yet feminine. Marianne sets her more romantic details, like a fine spaghetti strap off with something more practical, like a plimsol shoe. A style that I replicate on a near daily basis.

I put together this outfit based on things that I already owned, inspire by Marianne’s Italian summer look. Unfortunately for me, the weather in York was not quite up to the standard of an Italian summer so I had to modify it slightly by adding my trusty jean jacket.

The weather has been cold and rainy the past few weeks here; but it’s on the up and up going in to the weekend, so I’m hoping to be able to wear my summer clothes out once again.
